SET Rajasthan exam set to be conducted after 9 years

Rajasthan government has decided to conduct the State Eligibility Test. The exam will be conducted by the Govind Guru Tribal University (GGTU) for a total of 29 subjects. Notification is likely to be released in the month of January 2023 and exam is likely to be conducted in the second half of March 2023. In order to be eligible to be a college lecturer a candidate needs to qualify NET or SET exam.

How to apply?
Candidates can apply on the website of GGTU once the notification releases. A separate portal will be launched on the website for the purpose.

Syllabus and Exam Pattern –
Rajasthan SET exam will follow the syllabus and exam pattern of UGC NET but the difficulty level will be slightly lower. The paper will have 150 questions each of 2 marks with no negative marking. The exam will have 2 papers. First paper will consist of 50 questions based on teaching and research aptitude as well as mental ability. The second paper will consist of 100 questions based on the subject chosen.

Eligibility –
Only those candidates who have 55% in their post graduation course will be eligible for the exam.
