For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)

  • Maximum Age: 30 years as on 1st day of the month in which the exam is conducted (for June 2025 cycle, age is calculated as of 1st June 2025).
  • Age Relaxation (Upper Age Limit is relaxed for):
    • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years (up to 33 years)
    • SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender/Women candidates: 5 years (up to 35 years)
    • Candidates with research experience (subject to certain conditions): Up to 5 years
    • LLM degree holders: 3 years additional relaxation
