UGC NET 2025 is a competitive national examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor posts and for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. The UGC NET Form 2025 for the June session was already released on 16th April 2025, and the deadline for application was 12th May 2025. The application procedure having been done, the applicants now have to focus only on their preparation for the UGC NET June 2025 examination, which is to be conducted from 25 June to 29 June 2025 in various exam centers in India. Now that the exam is approaching, candidates should give priority to:

UGC NET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The National Testing Agency conducts the UGC NET 2025 to determine Indian nationals’ eligibility for:

  • Assistant Professor
  • Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges.

UGC NET Educational Qualification 2025

Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in a relevant field from a recognized university in order to be eligible for UGC NET 2025. Depending on the candidate’s category, different percentages of marks are needed. Below is a detailed overview of the educational qualification criteria:
