To qualify, applicants must hold a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject from a recognized university.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Qualifying Degree:<\/b> Applicants should have a UGC recognized Master&#8217;s degree with a minimum of 55% marks (for General\/ EWS) or 50% marks (for SC\/ST\/SEBC-NCL\/PwD\/Third Gender).<\/li>\n<li><b>Final year Master&#8217;s students<\/b> or awaiting results also can apply, but must achieve the required percentage within 2 years from the date of GSET result.<\/li>\n<li><b>Subject of Examination:<\/b> Applicants must choose the GSET subject of their post-graduation subject. If their subject is not available in GSET, they have to appear for UGC NET or CSIR NET.<\/li>\n<li><b>Reservation Policy: <\/b>Gujarat SEBC candidates should submit valid Gujarat SEBC certificate; it is not a Central OBC certificate. Reservations candidates from other states will be treated as a General category.<\/li>\n<li><b>Age Limit: <\/b>There is no upper age limit for GSET Eligibility as an Assistant Professor.<\/li>\n<li><b>Ph.D. Holders: <\/b>Master&#8217;s degree holders who pass their exam till 19th September, 1991 are eligible to relax by 5% marks up to 55% to 50%.<\/li>\n<li><b>Some Essential Guidelines: <\/b>Candidates qualified for GSET in a subject can&#8217;t reappear for that same subject.
