UGC NET Commerce Eligibility Criteria 2025

To appear for the UGC NET Commerce 2025 exam, candidates should fulfill the following eligibility criteria as mandated by the National Testing Agency (NTA): 

UGC NET Commerce Educational Qualification

  • The candidates should hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in Commerce, Accounting, Business Services, or Management from a recognized university.
  • They should have obtained a minimum of 55% marks (without rounding off) in the case of General/Unreserved/General-EWO category.
  • In the case of OBC-NCL / SC / ST / PwD / Third gender categories, relaxation by 5% is provided i.e., minimum 50% marks needed.

Final Year Students

  • Aspirants appearing in their last year of Master’s or waiting for their results are also eligible to apply.
  • But those applicants are required to finish their qualification within two years of the date of the NET result, otherwise, their eligibility will be revoked.

UGC NET Commerce Age Limit 2025

  • For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Not exceeding 30 years as of June 1, 2025.
  • Relaxation of 5 years is provided to OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, and female candidates.
  • For the post of Assistant Professor: No maximum age limit.
