JKSET 2024 Notification: Exam Date, Application Process, and Eligibility Criteria


The University of Jammu officially announced the JKSET 2024 notification on June 5, 2024. Aspiring candidates can apply for the JKSET 2024 from June 11, 2024, to July 5, 2024. It is recommended that applicants thoroughly review the detailed notification before applying for the LASET 2024. 

 JKSET 2024 Examination Details 

The JKSET Examination, designed to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor positions in Universities and Colleges across Jammu & Kashmir (JKSET) and Ladakh (LASET), will be held on October 20, 2024 .  The University of Jammu will conduct the exam in 41 subjects at various centres in Jammu, Srinagar, and Leh.

How to Apply for JKSET 2024 

1. Visit the Website: Access the [University of Jammu] (https://www.jammuuniversity.ac.in/) or [JKSET](https://www.jujkset.in/) websites. 

2. Select Category & Pay Fee: Choose your category (e.g., General, SC/ST) and pay the exam fee online using a credit/debit card or net banking. 

3. Register & Upload Documents: Register with your transaction reference number, create a password, and upload a recent passport-style photo and a scanned copy of your signature. 

4. Complete Application Form: Accurately fill out the application form, including personal, contact, and academic information. 

5. Submit & Save: Review your application, submit it, and print a copy for your records.

JKSET Eligibility Criteria 2024 

Minimum Educational Qualification 


- General Category: Candidates must have a master's degree or equivalent from a UGC-recognized university with at least 55% marks (without rounding off). 

- Reserved Categories (SC/ST/PWD/Transgender) : Candidates must have at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in their master's degree. 

- Ph.D. Holders: Candidates who completed their master's degree by September 19, 1991, are eligible for a 5% relaxation in marks (50% instead of 55%).

Candidates awaiting their master's degree results can apply provisionally but must secure the required marks within two years.
